A Rush of Thrush
A few days ago I started to have a really hard time nursing. Every time Sterling would latch on I wanted to die because it hurt so bad. I thought maybe I was hurting because he had been biting me so much. I called my friend Cheryl who is a lactation specialist to ask her what she thought. After talking to her, we concluded that Sterling has thrush. Thrush is a yeast infection that develops in the mouth and throat and on the tongue. So, I have to give Sterling some medicine and hopefully it won't take long for both of us to feel better.

Poor both of you! We never had thrush but I can only imagine--we did have other painful nursing complications and it's just so much nicer when things work the way they're supposed to! :)
I hope you both get over the infection soon!
Parker got this and I thought I was going to DIE!!! Stick in there, the medicine should help both of you!
There is some cream you can buy for you that will help the soreness as well.

Wow I am so glad you keep up your blog. It is probably the only way I get to hear all the news and see your beautiful children. Congratulations on Sterling he is beautiful.
