Strollers for Sale

I have two strollers I am trying to sell. The first is a Graco single stroller. We used it with Cyndle and haven't used it since Sterling was born. Stroller is in excellent condition with only minor wear and tear. Asking $175 OBO so make us an offer!

Color is more of a teal rather than a blue.

The second stroller is a Graco Quattro Tour Duo double stroller. Very neutral silver color. Can be used with one or two Graco car seats. The only problem is there is a small tear and the handle bar on one side is held on by duct tape. Southwest Airlines broke it on a flight to Florida a year ago and refused to pay for it. Other than that it works great. Asking $100 but we are VERY FLEXIBLE with the price of this one.

California 2011

This year we went to California with Bryan's entire family. We bought city passes that give you one day at the San Diego Zoo, one day at Sea World, three days at Disneyland/California Adventure, and one day at Universal Studios. We started at the zoo and it luckily wasn't too crowded considering it was on a Saturday. We rode the double decker bus around and then walked to see the animals. Cyndle's favorite animal is the okapi. It is in the background of the first pic in case you aren't sure what that is. (I wasn't sure the first time she told me it was her favorite a year ago.)

Next, we went to Sea World. I have never been before so I was super excited about it. We got to pet the dolphins and feed the rays. They have a little pool of starfish you can pet. Cyndle didn't like any of it! She was perfectly content to watch everyone else petting the animals. She just didn't want to. Sterling was a little skeptical about the whole petting thing too, but he liked it. The kids were afraid of the polar bears and Cyndle was scared of the beluga whales.

After San Diego, we drove up to Anaheim. We went to Disneyland, the California Adventure, then back to Disneyland over the course of three days. It was a little cold when we where there but fun just the same. And because it was an off time of year, there were no crowds for the first two days.

Christmas 2010

Christmas was so fun for us this year! I love that my kids are at such fun ages for Christmas. I must say, I love being the parent at Christmas rather than being the child. It is just so fun to see the excitement when they run in to see what Santa brought for them. We spent most of the holiday with my family because it was their on-year, but still saw the Rudd's (one of the perks of having both families in Mesa). Stephen came home from Hawaii and it was good to have him here. We miss him so much. We always go to the dunes the day after Christmas. Everyone went this year, even David and his family, and it made it that much more fun. Sterling, Dad and I were actually pretty miserable for most of the trip. We all had ear infections and strep throat type stuff going on so we ended up coming home a few days early. Bryan stayed with Cyndle and I was glad they were able to enjoy it.

Halloween 2010

Bryan and I decided to carve a pumpkin this year for the kids. It is the first year that Cyndle is actually old enough to have an idea about what's going on. Sterling, not so much. We also went to a pumpkin patch in Gilbert that was fun. There were some farm animals, bounce houses, and the kids got to pick a pumpkin to decorate with stickers. I had so much fun for Halloween getting everyone's costumes made. I made all but Bryan's and we were that nerdy family that's all matchy-matchy. We went as Peter Pan characters. We didn't go trick-or-treating this year because Halloween was on a Sunday, but our ward had a really fun trunk or treat party.

Cyndle Turns 3

I can't believe Cyndle turned 3 in September! That is just craziness! For her birthday, we had all of our family over for cake and ice cream. She got lots of fun presents and was so excited to be a big girl now. According to her, turning 3 now makes her an adult. Bryan and I are definitely going to be in for it when she's a teenager!

Disney World 2010!!!

Ok, I know. I am a total slacker about posting on here. I am trying to be better. I took the kids to Disney World in March. We went with my mom and sisters. There was a total of 6 kids ages 5 and under and just us 4 women for the majority of the trip. It was a little bit of craziness but so much fun! I absolutely love love love Disney World! It truly is the happiest place on earth. The kids had such a blast and we got to do and see everything thanks to my wonderful sister, Sarah, who has mastered the fastpass/parent swap technique. Cyndle can't stop talking about all the rides she went on. I can't wait to go again.

P.S.- For those who have never been to Disney World and don't see what the big deal is about going all the way to Florida when Disneyland is a few hours away, all I have to say is that there is no comparison. Disney World is 1,000 times better!

On Saturday, Bryan and I took the kids to Bass Pro Shop to get a picture with Santa. The store was decorated so cute and I loved the stuffed reindeer. Sterling did good and had no problem with Santa. Cyndle on the other hand was a stinker because she got scared and wouldn't sit still. Oh well. Santa was really sweet with both kids. He was a really good Santa who was really jolly and even had a real beard.

Halloween at Disneyland '09

For Christmas this year, Bryan and I decided to take the kids to Disneyland. So, we went to Disneyland for Halloween for Christmas. Confusing, huh? Well, Bryan's family and my mom and sister invited themselves for the trip. It was super fun and I'm really glad everybody came. I got all into it being the nerdy mom that I am. I made matching shirts for the kids. The girls had Minnie and the boys had Mickey. They turned out really cute! We did the Trick or Treat night at California Adventure on Thursday night. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was fun and the kids loved it. Cyndle went as Minnie and Sterling went as Mickey. I was so proud of myself because I sewed Cyndle's costume and it was my first big sewing project. Thank you everyone for making the trip such a blast!

On Saturday, Therena and my mom saw Scott MacIntire(forgive my spelling) on the train that goes all around Di9sneyland. Well, on the way to the Winnie the Pooh ride Bryan, Julie and I spotted him. Bryan asked if we could take a picture and him and his family were really sweet about. It was fun to run into him!

On another note, Cyndle turned 2 at the end of September and Sterling is already 6 months old. My babies are growing up way too fast! I have stopped nursing Sterling because he has 3 (almost 4) teeth and he would bite me really hard regardless of what I did. So, now he gets a bottle which doesn't seem to bother him.

Arizona Museum for Youth

On Tuesday my sisters and I decided to take the kids to the Arizona Museum for Youth to play. They have a really fun part with different rooms that have all sorts of toys for young kids to play with. Cyndle absolutely loved it! It is great during the summer when it is too hot to play outside. After, we went to McDonald's and they got to play there too. Cyndle couldn't quite figure out how to climb up, so she mostly just sat on the bottom of the slide.

Sterling rolled over today for the first time. He was chilling on the floor and when I looked over at him, he was on his belly. Craziness! I can't believe how big my little man is getting. It has gone by so fast it makes me sad.

We went camping for the 4th with my family up by Flagstaff. The weather was great except that it rained everyday making everything muddy. It was so much fun. Cyndle loved it!

A Rush of Thrush

A few days ago I started to have a really hard time nursing. Every time Sterling would latch on I wanted to die because it hurt so bad. I thought maybe I was hurting because he had been biting me so much. I called my friend Cheryl who is a lactation specialist to ask her what she thought. After talking to her, we concluded that Sterling has thrush. Thrush is a yeast infection that develops in the mouth and throat and on the tongue. So, I have to give Sterling some medicine and hopefully it won't take long for both of us to feel better.

Sterling's Blessing and a New Car

Bryan blessed Sterling this past Sunday. It was a little bit crazy during sacrament meeting with both of our families present. There were a total of 12 kids under the age of 7 sitting with our families. That's ok, it made it fun in a looney kind of way. Sterling looked so cute in his blessing outfit. The blanket he is laying on was crocheted by my grandma for him. Isn't it gorgeous?

Also, on Monday we said goodbye to our Durango. We really enjoyed it and had no problems with it, but it was time to move on to bigger and better things. There wasn't quite enough room and it got terrible gas mileage. So, now Bryan and I get to cruise around in style in our new (well, new to us anyway) minivan. Bryan's uncle Tobin works at a Nissan dealership and helped us get a good deal on this '05 Nissan Quest. Bryan and I are really excited about it.

What We've Been Up To

Here's an update about what has been happening at our house the past week or so. Sterling was fine when we left the hospital but ended up having pretty bad jaundice. He had to wear a bili blanket for a week. I have no idea why they call it a blanket. It is a light that is plugged in and then placed on his back or stomach. It was a big pain in the rump but it is better than having him in the hospital.

Cyndle has been so cute with Sterling since we have been home. She has her moments but for the most part has been really good. She always insists on holding him and will try to pick him up off the floor. Luckily, she is way too little to even come close to moving him.

One of Cyndle's favorite things to do is climb in the baby bouncer and swing. She doesn't weigh enough to hurt it but we are trying to not let her play with them. She will try to climb in them while Sterling is in them.

It's a Boy!!!!!

Well it's official! Sterling Daniel has finally arrived. Bryan and I went into the hospital Wednesday night at about 8:30 because I was have a lot of abdominal pain. I wasn't technically in labor but I was dilated to a 5 so the nurse convinced my doctor to let me stay. They started me on pitocin to speed things along a bit. I was still at a 5 at 1:00 so Dr. Huish broke my water. About 10 minutes later I was having hard contractions every minute or two so I asked for my epidural. My epidural was wonderful this time around and I didn't feel anything. Sterling's heart rate was dipping down a little after every contraction so the nurse checked me at 4:00 and I was only at a 6 but Sterling was very low in my uterus. She laid me on my side to get his heart rate regulated but it wouldn't so she checked me again. I went from a 6 to a 9.5 in less than ten minutes. Craziness!!! She kept asking if I felt pressure or the urge to push and I told her no. His heart rate dropped again so she checked me again. His head was right there and she told me to close my legs and to not push. Luckily, Dr. Huish was already at the hospital and was in the room in about 30 seconds. Five pushes later, out came Sterling. He was very purple because the cord had been wrapped around his neck, but he was fine after a few minutes. He weighed 8lbs 8oz and was 21.5 inches long. He is so cute and looks just like Cyndle, he just has a bigger mouth. We are all doing very well. Cyndle came to see him and kept kissing his head and wanting to hold him. It will be interesting to see how she is when we go home.

We're moving!

Bryan and I rented out our condo today to a family of four. It was kind of a last minute thing and we have to be moved out by Monday. Yikes! It shouldn't be too bad since everything is going straight to a storage unit. We are going to be living with my parents until our housing at ASU's east campus can be finalized. Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us come to crash at your already full house.

So, the other day Bryan was watching Cyndle in the family room while I was putting laundry away. Bryan wasn't really paying attention (I think he was messing around on the computer) and didn't notice that Cyndle had gotten into my diaper bag and taken out my lipstick. When he finally realized what was going on I heard him yelling at me from the other room to come help him. This is what I came out to find. It was so funny! We weren't even mad or anything, we just thought it was cute.

That's right, we're having a boy! Bryan and I went to the doctor today to have an ultrasound. I can't believe I'm far enough along to be finding out the sex already. It must be the fact that Cyndle has made this time around go so much quicker. Anyway, we are super excited and just wanted to let everyone know the news.

So, this last weekend Bryan went deer hunting for the first time ever. And he even actually got a deer on his first shot. Way to go! He is so proud of himself because this is his very first hunt and he was the only one in the group who shot one. Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us keep all the meat in your freezer!

My favorite cousin tagged me, so I guess I better hurry and hop to it.

1. I hate fish with a passion. The smell, the taste, even the way they look. But the funny thing is that I love all other kinds of seafood.

2. I'm a huge movie buff and quote from them all the time. I can name what movies just about any actor has played in. It's a gift, I know!

3. I want 8 kids. Call me crazy, but I just absolutely love being a mom and being around kids. I definitely want a full house.

4. I crack my joints. Not just my fingers and toes, but I mean EVERY joint in my body all the time. I'll probably get arthritis from it, but I can't help it. My dad has even been known to call me snap, crackle, and pop.

5. I'm losing my hair. I actually have bald spots on my head and it falls out in handfuls. I've gone to the doctor about it, but it's not anything wrong with me. I've just been cursed with bad genes from my dad's side. I'm doomed to be bald like my Grandma Anderson!

6. I have OCD when it comes to showering and getting ready. I have to do it the EXACT same everyday. I shower in the same order, dry off the same way, and put on my makeup in the same way and order. If I get messed up while I'm getting ready I feel weird the rest of the day.

7. I refuse to clean the shower. That is the one household job I have assigned to Bryan as an unchanging thing. It is the only thing I require him to do around the house, but he is really good about helping with other things. I will do everything else while cleaning, but I won't clean the shower.

8. I sing in the shower, usually at the top of my lungs. I do it because I have the illusion that nobody can hear me, even though Bryan and all the neighbors can. I'm such a dork!

Cyndle's birthday was this past Friday. I can't believe she's already 1!!! Where has the time gone, seriously! Cyndle, Bryan and I went to have family pictures done in the morning. We didn't want a really big party or anything. So, we went to Fuddruckers with the two sets of grandparents. It was fun. I bought these tiny cupcakes from Walmart so Cyndle could blow out her candle. She was so funny and wouldn't use her hands to eat it. She would bend over to take a bite only using her mouth! It was so funny. Although she did get it all over after a little bit.

Bryan's sister Julie got married this last week. Her colors were pink and black so I ordered Cyndle the cutest dress. The reception was beautiful but now I have a million bug bites everywhere! Oh well, it was fun anyway.

Cyndle was being so funny on Sunday. I had the camera trying to take pictures of her and everytime she looked over at me she would smile so big! It was so cute I had to put some pictures of it.

That's right! Bryan and I are expecting baby #2 and we are so excited. I can't wait for Cyndle to be a big sister. Hopefully she won't treat the new baby like her baby doll (she chews the arms and legs!). Both of our families are thrilled about the new addition. We'll try to keep everyone posted as to how everything goes, but I'm not very good at keeping up!

Camping at Black River

This last week we went camping with the Rudd family at Black River. It was really fun and relaxing. The boys went fishing and I read Twilight and New Moon. Cyndle enjoyed it although it was much colder than we anticipated. The last night we were there it snowed a good foot and a half. Craziness!! Luckily, everyone made it home safe with fun family memories.

My First Post

Hey everyone, this is my first post. Bryan and I have been married for about a year and a half. Cyndle was born September 26, 2007. She is so much fun and I love being a mom. She has four hemangiomas on her face (they're bright red so you can probably see them in the pictures) and one on the inside of her throat. Luckily, they don't pose a threat. We found out a few weeks ago that she has scoliosis, but we haven't seen the specialist and aren't sure yet as to how serious it will be.
